The incandescent lamps of the village of Jericoacoara cast a warm glow over the coastal sand dunes during this 25 second exposure of the Milky Way and Southern Cross. The otherworldly scene is reminiscent of the photos NASA has published from the Mars rover 'Opportunity'.
