The most majestic mountain sanctuary I've ever seen. This was still a true wilderness when I visited in 2006. I camped and was invited in to Yak herder huts as I hiked a kora around the mountains. A kora is a holy pilgrimage tibetan pilgrims make around certain holy regions such as the famous Mt Kailash kora. I hope the Chinese government decides to preserve the area in it's current natural state and that they respect and honor the tibetan pilgrims that hike the kora each year as their ancestors have for hundreds of years.
