Monsoon Sunrise
Ofu Island, The National Park of American Samoa
A huge thunderhead was building directly over my head as the sun rose on my last day on this island. Lightning flashed into the scene, but I couldn't quite capture it. The longer exposure I chose to capture a few lightning bolts ended up resulting in these interesting cloud effects. A few minutes after I took this I got drenched in the heaviest downpour I've ever experienced. But it was awesome! Photo © copyright by Michael Anderson.
